Previews To Sunday's Matches

Five international matches take place on Sunday, including the crucial Commonwealth Bank series match between Australia and New Zealand at the MCG and the first match in the 5 ODI series between South Africa and Pakistan at Centurion Park.

Australia V New Zealand - Australia play their last group game in the Commonwealth Bank series tomorrow having already secured a place in the best of three finals next week, however for New Zealand this is a must-win game as they look to beat England - who beat Australia on Friday - into the second spot in the final. Scott Styris (above) returns for the Kiwis tomorrow and may replace Craig McMillan, and New Zealand will be hoping that Jacob Oram can yet again produce the batting form he has shown so far in the tournament. Australia captain Ricky Ponting returns and Brad Hodge is given another chance to earn himself a World Cup place replacing Andrew Symonds, who needs surgery on his bicep after hurting it whilst batting in the defeat to England.

South Africa V Pakistan - South Africa take on Pakistan on Sunday at Centurion Park with the advantage over their sub-continental rivals, having beaten Pakistan 2-1 in the recent test match series and thrashing them by 10 wickets in the Twenty20 match on Friday. The Proteas will be without Herschelle Gibbs who is still serving his three-game ban for alleged racist comments made during the test series. Pakistan will welcome back Mohammad Yousuf and captain Inzamam Ul-Haq tomorrow whilst there is still some debate as to whether Kamran Akmal or Zulqarnain Haider will keep wicket in tomorrow's match.

ICC World Cricket League Matches - Three matches are to be played across Nairobi on Sunday in the ICC World Cricket League. Bermuda play Holland at the Ruaraka Sports Club Ground, Canada take on Ireland at the Jaffery Sports Club Ground and hosts Kenya play Scotland at the Jaffery Sports Club Ground.

Cricket fans have plenty of action to choose from on Sunday, as ten teams and five matches of international one-day cricket are played across the globe in one day.
